Description: Mrs. Liebmann was the daughter of a prominent Armenian statesman. She supported students and educational and charitable organizations during her lifetime. The Liebman Fund currently offers graduate fellowships in any recognized field of study in the humanities, social sciences or natural sciences (including law, medicine, engineering, architecture or other formal professional training) financial support for publications focusing on Armenian studies and independent research or study projects. Eligibility: Fellowship candidates must have an outstanding undergraduate record and demonstrate financial need. Award Amount: Fellowships include an $18,000 stipend plus tuition. Publication grants vary depending on magnitude of the publication. In 2005, the payout for fellowships was $1,438,606; for independent research $47,800; and for publications $99,885.
