Bio

I joined the Department of Ophthalmology at Northwestern 2001 after several years in private practice in Long Grove, Barrington, and Glenview, IL.

Clinically, I see patients for a wide range of ophthalmic issues, such as detection of glaucoma, screening for diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration, evaluation for ocular complications of long-term systemic medications, as well as ocular mid margin disease, dry eye, and cataracts.

Clinically, I see patients for a wide range of ophthalmic issues, such as detection of glaucoma, screening for diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration, evaluation for ocular complications of long-term systemic medications, as well as ocular mid margin disease, dry eye, and cataracts.

My research interests have included surgical simulation in undergraduate and graduate medical education specifically, skill development which I pursued as a Searle Fellow.[Shorten text]

Academic Focus

I have continued to remain active as the Co-Director of the annual Northwestern Chicagoland Phacoemulsification and Microsurgical Resident Training Course
