Where are you from? Native of Chicago, IL. What’s your role in FSM? As the Sr. Administrator in the FSM Office for Research, my role is to be a resource for research administration in the Medical School. I am also charged with implementation of FSM-OR initiatives. How long have you been with FSM? Although I’ve been with the University for 9 years, my tenure with FSM is about 8.5 years. When I began my employ in Jan 1999, the Office for Clinical Research and Training (OCRT) was under the University’s Vice President for Research. OCRT then moved to FSM a short time later. What’s your education background? I am a graduate of Michigan State University and completed paralegal training at Roosevelt University. What do you like best about your job? Variety is what I like best about my current position. My projects and commitments allow me to have knowledge of and experience many facets of both FSM and the entire University. I’d have to say that this same variety, along with my service-minded personality, make it challenging when trying to answer specific questions. Most people know that I hate responding that I don’t know, but they also know that I usually follow it with, “…let me try to get an answer or identify the appropriate person that would know that”. What are your interest (books, movie, etc.)? I’m an avid sports and fitness enthusiast. I enjoy participating in charitable causes and traveling. What do you do outside of work? Recover….
