| An NIH-funded POSTDOCTORAL POSITION is available at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago to study synaptic structural plasticity in the cortex, and its roles in cognitive functions, behavior, and psychiatric disease (Xie et al. Neuron 48:605; Schrick et al., Neuron 55:786; Xie et al. Neuron 56:640; Srivastava et al. P.N.A.S. 105:14650; Penzes and Jones, Trends Neurosci. 32:419: Penzes et al. Trends Cell Biol. 18:405). Northwestern University is home to a very large and energetic neuroscience community (http://nuin.northwestern.edu/) and has excellent research facilities. Strong background in molecular biology or neuroscience is required. Enthusiastic applicants with recent Ph.D. and experience in imaging, electrophysiology, or modern in vivo techniques (such as imaging, transgenic mice, viral vectors) are strongly encouraged to apply.
