Fax: 312-503-1181 E-mail:s-hubchak@northwestern.edu | Susan Hubchak, BS, received her undergraduate degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. In 1981, she joined the laboratory of Dr. Dante G. Scarpelli at Northwestern University Medical School (now the Feinberg School School of Medicine) where she developed hamster and rat pancreatic ductal cell lines for studies investigating nitrosamine-mediated pancreatic carcinogenesis in animal versus in vitro models. In 1995, she transferred to Dr. William Schnaper's laboratory, where she isolates mesangial cells from normal human kidney for the laboratory’s in vitro studies of signal transduction pathways in TGF-beta1-stimulated collagen accumulation. Hubchak's research interests concern the interactions of the Rho-GTPase family proteins with the Smad signaling pathway. |
