The 24/7 Illinois Perinatal HIV Hotline is a 24-hour resource for medical and social service providers caring for pregnant, HIV-positive women.
In order to ensure healthy outcomes for mothers and their babies, the hotline provides:
Phone consultation for up-to-date treatment guidelines on HIV, pregnancy, and labor and delivery
Phone consultation for access to urgent social services
Transportation and/or escort for access to HIV care and prenatal care
Referrals for mental health services, chemical dependency, case management, housing, legal assistance, WIC and Medicaid eligibility
Support for women found to test preliminary positive through rapid HIV testing
