Division of Clinical Genetics
The Division of Clinical Genetics provides comprehensive prenatal diagnostic and screening programs for preventing genetic diseases; cancer genetic counseling and testing; and genetic evaluation, counseling, and testing for high-risk families associated with recurrent pregnancy loss, congenital malformation, and/or developmental disabilities.The faculty and staff of the division teach medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as students in Northwestern University's Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling. In addition, they conduct clinical and basic research focused on preimplantation genetic diagnosis, embryonic development, and new approaches to prenatal diagnosis and screening for chromosomal and mendelian disorders.
