Dr. Rymer will retain the role of director for the Sensory Motor Performance Program (SMPP) and Searle Rehabilitation Research Chair until a successor is recruited. The search for a new director of SMPP is being led by Ferdinando Mussa-Ivaldi, PhD, professor of physiology. Dr. Rymer has served as the director of SMPP since 1987 and as Searle Research Director since 1989.
