Outside the hospital: children victims of sexual abuse and children with sexually behavioral problems | | | | Non-adherence to medical recommendations by families in kidney diseases. Also, adolescents’ non-adherence to medication after transplant. Projects: support groups for children, adolescents and families during dialysis and post transplant to help with the transition and adherence to medical recommendations. Also, I plan to do studies on adolescents pre- and post-transplant compliance and how the kidney team members affect compliance & non-compliance. | | | | I graduated from medical school and practiced as a pediatrician in Guatemala. After immigrating to Chicago I got my master’s degree at U of Chicago and later my Ph.D. in clinical social work from the Institute for Clinical Social Work also in Chicago. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified as a Sex Offender Therapist. | | | | I like watching movies: action, epics, & historic content. I like to run, lift weights, walk my dog for long distances, and enjoy taking care of my lawn. |
