Richard A. Cohn, MD

Clinical Specialty: Acute and chronic diseases of the kidney, acute and chronic dialysis, hypertension, and kidney transplantation.

Subspecialty: Kidney transplantation, nephrotic syndrome

  
Research Focus:  Dr. Cohn is currently the Center Principal Investigator for the North American Pediatric Renal Transplant Cooperative Study (NAPRTCS) as well as the Medical Director of the Kidney Transplant Program at Children's Memorial Hospital.  His additional interests lie in childhood nephrotic syndrome and chronic renal insufficiency.
  

Educational History:

Medical School: Albert Einstein School of Medicine, 1972

Postgraduate Training: University of Minnesota Hospital, 1978; Johns Hopkins Hospital, 1973-75

Certifications: Board certified in Pediatric Nephrology, 1979; Pediatrics, 1978.

   
Personal Interests:  Racquetball, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, enjoying his granddaughter.
