SHAPE THE FUTURE OF HEALTH CARE

The United States faces significant challenges in the translation of basic biomedical research into practice as well as substantive redesign of the healthcare delivery system to achieve cost-effective, high quality, and safe healthcare.

The two-year, part-time, Master of Science degree program will offer a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary training of both medical doctors and pre and post doctoral diplomates to fulfill the need in the important field of health services and outcomes research. The program includes courses in:
• Ethical Issues in Health Services Research
• Disparities in Healthcare
• Health Economics and Healthcare Financing
• Health Services Research Methods and Analysis
• Writing and Peer Review for Publication
• Biostatistics and Epidemiology
Applications currently being accepted for Spring 2010 Admission.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

All applicants must submit the Northwestern University Graduate School online application: The online application can be found on the Northwestern University web site at www.tgs.northwestern.edu/admission/. Please use Program Code H04MS.  Please select the desired Admission Quarter (See below).

Letters of Recommendation:
Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation which can be submitted electronically via The Graduate School online application or by mail to:

Graduate Entrance Exam: Acceptable Graduate Entrance Exam Test scores include GRE, GMAT, MCAT, LSAT, MAT, or other test scores (contact us to determine applicability of other test scores). Most recent Graduate Entrance Exam Test Score should be submitted.

Transcripts: Applicants are required to submit one set of original transcripts (bearing the registrar’s signature and/or institution’s seal) from each postsecondary institution attended. The transcripts should document all courses taken, grades received and (if applicable) degree earned. These should be mailed directly to:
