Fall at NorthwesternPhilanthropy—Reaching an Interconnected Community

Your gifts to Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine reach throughout an interconnected community. A community of individuals dedicated to advancing medical education, medical research, and community engagement. Together with our philanthropic partners, we are committed to improving your health, the health of your family, and the welfare of our world.

The medical school has expanded in recent years, adding new facilities and enhancing collaborations with our clinical affiliates. Most importantly, this expansion has attracted increasingly accomplished students and faculty recruits who are improving the quality of our educational curricula and research programs. As we train future generations of medical leaders and advance investigations across the spectrum of human disease and disorder, Feinberg remains indebted to the generous donors who support our funding priorities and needs.

Beginning in September 2011, our new, more comprehensive Nathan Smith Davis Recognition Program enhances and expands upon the longstanding Nathan Smith Davis Club. Six categories have been created to broaden the medical school’s appreciation of individuals beyond alumni and faculty to now include staff and friends. We are proud of this new program that acknowledges not only monetary gift s but also volunteer service to the Feinberg School. I invite you to learn more about the Nathan Smith Davis Recognition Program.

Scholarship gifts attract the nation’s top students to our classrooms, clinics, and laboratories. Research funds provide the impetus for innovative studies that promise to impact the greatest number of people in the shortest period of time. Professorships ensure that the nation’s most talented medical leaders make their greatest contributions here at Feinberg. And capital project commitments afford space and facilities that bring all of these elements together.

Your philanthropy has played a vital role throughout our history. As medical schools have evolved to occupy a unique niche in society, we have raised funds to support the strategic leadership and vision of our deans. As we look back in celebration of past accomplishments, we look forward to working with you—in partnership—as we shape the future of our medical school.
