Director, Center for Health Policy and Economics
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine invites applications and nominations for the position of Director, Center for Health Policy and Economics. This new center within Northwestern’s Institute for Public Health and Medicine will develop and lead a broad-based public health and healthcare-oriented research portfolio covering health policy and economics while interacting with existing schools, departments and centers with activities in the public health and healthcare domains. Reporting to Northwestern Medicine leadership, the director will oversee the center’s academic, research, and administrative affairs. Principal investigators appointed through the Feinberg School of Medicine, ranked 18th in U.S. News & World Report, are supported by $392 million of annual research funding. The medical school is embedded among three U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll hospitals; Northwestern Memorial Hospital is ranked 10th nationally, Lurie Children’s Hospital 8th and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab 1st. Successful candidates will possess an MD and/or PhD, be eligible for a faculty appointment as a full-time professor, and have a record of scholarly accomplishments and national recognition in health policy and economics research.
