An opportunity to meet your colleagues and learn about the wealth of resources available at the Feinberg School of Medicine for faculty development.

Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH)

Moving Into the Future - New Dimensions and Strategies for Women's Health Research for the National Institute of Health - The Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) is convening the fourth in a series of public hearings and scientific workshops to update the Women's Health Research Agenda at the NIH for the coming decade. The meeting is cohosted by the ORWH, Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The ideas and recommendations emerging from this conference and other regional conferences will help inform future women's health research priorities at the NIH.

Institute for Women's Health Research 

Women's Health Research Monthly Forum - The objective of these monthly forums is to present the current links and implications between basic science and clinical research related to sexual dimorphisms, to encourage more sex- and gender-based studies, and to provide support and role models for emerging women's health scholars.

The next Monthly Forum will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in Prentice Women's Hospital. Check back for more information.

Call for Submissions: Dr. Linda Brodsky Launches Multi-Author Book Project

Dr. Linda Brodsky, a pediatric otolaryngologist, is launching a multi-author book project to be published early in 2010. Linda is looking for stories about how the challenges facing women physicians, surgeons, and healthcare workers affect the way healthcare is delivered in our country.
