The Feinberg School's governance structure consists of three operational councils: education, research, and clinical. Each council, consisting of 12 senior medical school and University faculty members serving limited terms and chaired by an executive associate dean (EAD), is responsible for analysis and recommendations in its area.
The EADs are Raymond H. Curry, MD, Education Council; Jonathan P. Leis, PhD, Research Council; and Robert M. Rosa, MD, Clinical Council.
The Dean's Council is responsible for setting broad policy, performance monitoring, leadership, and overseeing the work of the operational councils. Chaired by Lewis Landsberg, MD, the Dean's Council comprises all department chairs and selected center and institute directors.
This structure permits faculty members to be involved with issues as they are developing, thus achieving better decisions and greater consensus on proposed initiatives.
