Chris Loertscher
Chris Loertscher, division administrator in rheumatology, was one of several Service Excellence Award recipients honored at a recent NU luncheon.

Congratulations to the following Feinberg School staff members who received Service Excellence Awards in 2005 and were honored at a luncheon on January 18: Nicholas Griffiths, finance, budget, and payroll; Tom Hancko and Annette Kinsella, clinical research center; Chris Loertscher, rheumatology; Jose Narvaez, preventive medicine; Seletta Nichols, healthcare studies; and Michelle Pattison, cancer center.

Celebrating recent long-term service anniversaries at the medical school are Kathleen E. Harris, allergy, with 40 years, and Donna Kellogg, cell and molecular biology, and Sharon Stafford, urology, each with 25 years. Twenty-year veterans include Julia Hsiao, Galter Library; Cynthia Meroz, physiology; Valarie Thomas, surgery; and Kegiang Wang, pathology, while 15-year celebrants include David Ivancic, surgery; Annette Lyles, neurology; and Marjorie Yakich, ophthalmology.

Completing 10 years are Danielle Aeschbacher, cell and molecular biology; Grace Carlson-Lund and Claudia Chambers, both preventive medicine; Isabel Diaz, Galter Library; Amy Flores, cardiovascular research institute; Renee Martinez, medical education; John Miller, radiology; and Kimberly Thedford, preventive medicine.

Recognized for five years of service are Valerie Bruce, preventive medicine; Lynda Carey, psychiatry and behavioral sciences; Karen Christopher, internal medicine; Yolanda Cowthran-Peebles, cancer center; Keith Davis, dean's office; Sandra Fernandez, graduate medical education; Brett Foxwell, physiology; Francesca Garcia, pediatrics; Margaret Goldstein, otolaryngologyhead and neck surgery; Allen Hood, preventive medicine; Xuemei Huang, urology; Anna Huskin, surgery; Deborah Israel, rheumatology; Julie Johnson, clinical research center; Olga Kiryukhina, molecular pharmacology and biological chemistry; Sandra Lee, pathology; Kely Leiser, psychiatry and behavioral sciences; Lori Lev, microbiologyimmunology; Meiling Lu, obstetrics and gynecology; and Christopher Lyttle, healthcare studies.
