Terms of Appointment for Research Faculty
- Research faculty appointments are all non-tenure-eligible.
- Most faculty members are appointed in a single “primary” department.
- The appointment term is one to three years and is contingent on the availability of funding; research faculty are eligible for reappointment as well as promotion.
- Research appointments are reviewed and approved by the Office of the Vice President for Research
