Bio

Dr. Odell specializes in the treatment of Lung Cancer, Esophageal Cancer and other thoracic malignancies as well as benign disorders of the foregut including achalasia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and hiatal hernia. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive approaches to surgical treatment of these conditions and completed an advanced fellowship in Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive approaches to surgical treatment of these conditions and completed an advanced fellowship in Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery. In addition, Dr. Odell is a member of the lung transplant program, caring for patients with end-stage lung disease.

Dr. Odell's research interests center in the area of Health Services Research. Specifically, he is interested in the factors which influence both treatment outcome and patient decision making in thoracic oncology.[Shorten text]
