Bio

Dr. Massey is the Principal Investigator on a Career Development Award (K23) from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (2015-2020) to identify cognitive and affective processes unique to the prenatal period as putative targets for intervention on smoking. She is also the Principal Investigator of a study on prenatal cannabis use and birth outcomes funded by a Dixon Translational Research Grant (2017 - 2018). Academic Focus

Dr. Massey’s research is aimed at identifying mechanisms that facilitate positive changes in women’s drug use across gestation and the early postpartum period as novel targets for more effective interventions on substance use disorders.
