Dr. Schalet’s research interests include item response theory (IRT), the relationship between personality traits and psychopathology, and the development/treatment of mood disorders. His research has focused on multi-method assessment and how the personality traits of Openness to Experience and Absorption may be related to psychopathology. His research has focused on multi-method assessment and how the personality traits of Openness to Experience and Absorption may be related to psychopathology. He has also examined the effects of antidepressants on different symptom clusters in patients with depression and anxiety disorders. He is currently involved in several projects that focus on psychometric linking of multiple patient-reported outcome instruments (PROsetta Stone) and the validation of instruments in the Patient Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) in patients with a range of medical conditions.[Shorten text]
