Dr. Csernansky has over 250 peer-reviewed publications, and has also au...[Read full text]Dr. Csernansky serves as the Lizzie Gilman Professor and Chair in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. His research interests include in vivo neuroimaging of neuropsychiatric disorders, especially schizophrenia and Alzheimer disease, clinical trials of cognition-enhancing drugs, and the development of valid animal models for neuropsychiatric disorders.
Dr. Csernansky has over 250 peer-reviewed publications, and has also authored several chapters and books, and his research program has received grant support from the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute of Aging, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as several foundations and pharmaceutical companies. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a member and officer of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology and the Society of Biological Psychiatry. He has served as an Associate Editor of Schizophrenia Bulletin and on the Editorial Board of Schizophrenia Research and Neuropsychopharmacology.[Shorten text]
