Emilie Powell

Medical School:  Indiana University (completed a dual MBA in Business Administration)
Undergrad:  Indiana University-Purdue University, Xavier, Wake Forest, and DePauw

Emilie is a member of AOA.  Emilie’s interests while in medical school included time as a fundraiser and runner for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society-Team in Training.  She acted as a student leader for the Indiana University MD/MBA Physicians Leaders Forum.  She has served as project chair for the Habitat for Humanity.  She has research experience as a clinical researcher during her 3rd and 4th years of medical school, investigating pancreatic surgery and she has a publication from her work.  Emilie was one of the first students at Indiana to pursue the dual MD/MBA program and she is one of only five students in her class of close to 300 students to complete it.  Emilie has traveled extensively including time in England, France, Ireland, China, Egypt, Belize, and South Africa and she has completed rotations at the last two.   Emilie is an avid runner and has completed her first marathon.
