Ambrose Insua

Medical School:  Northwestern
Undergrad:  Denison University (Spanish), Institute of European Studies in Spain, and University of Pennsylvania

Prior to entering medical school, Ambrose worked in multiple settings teaching Spanish and with translation and interpreter services.  Ambrose has been involved in many volunteer activities at Northwestern.  He worked with the NU Alliance for International Development and traveled to El Salvador to provide health care.  He worked with the Universidad Pan Americana exchange program and traveled to Mexico City, Mexico to work in a variety of clinical settings.  He has acted as the Student Coordinator for the Community Health Clinic as well as a volunteer.  While at the university of Pennsylvania he worked with the Treatment Research Center on several projects related to alcohol and substance abuse.  He also worked in the ED on several studies related to domestic violence and cocaine related chest pain.  His worked resulted in a publication and a presentation.
