Brian Sellers, MD

Brian Sellers graduated with honors in cell and molecular biology from Duke University, earning minors in chemistry and history. While in college, Brian worked as an orderly at Regional Hospital in Dunn, NC, as well as a research assistant in the Analytic Electron Microscopy Lab at Duke University, examining new treatments for Leishmaniasis. His achievements while at Duke included the Undergraduate Research Grant, the National  Italian American Foundation Scholarship, a four-year University Scholarship, and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Summer Scholar Award for his work studying the effects of radiation damage to chromosomes. Brian was awarded a similar number of scholarships to attend Loyola, notably receiving funding through the Student Approaches to Research (STAR) Grant Program. Brian volunteered throughout medical school with several organizations, teaching health and wellness to children and young adults. He runs marathons, plays club soccer, and enjoys motocross.
