Amy Kiraly, MD

Amy Kiraly graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in biological sciences and a minor in vocal performance. She is the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, with special recognition from both the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and the Waterbury Medical Association. Amy was elected by medical school faculty and classmates to serve on several committees, including the School of Medicine Commencement Committee, the Multidisciplinary Ambulatory Experience Executive Committee, and the Student Advisory Committee. She worked as Program Coordinator at the National Youth Leadership Forum in Medicine, a summer program for gifted students interested in medicine. She also volunteered her time at a student-run clinic in a homeless shelter, as well at a mobile free clinic for migrant farm workers. Amy continues to sing and has twice performed in the School of Medicine production, “Culture Shock.” She enjoys the performing arts, especially Broadway. She also plays competitive soccer and basketball.
