Kori Sauser graduated cum laude from Harvard University, where she was awarded the Harvard College Scholarship for superior academic achievement. At the University of Southern California, Kori was awarded the McVicar Scholarship for excellence in her third-year clerkships. She served the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine on the Admissions Committee, as a volunteer for Student Support Services, and as a student representative to both the LCME and the Medical Educators’ Collegium. While in medical school she worked with the Pediatric Disaster Resource and Training Center of the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and her work there culminated in two presentations at the Academic Surgical Congress, and a publication in the American Journal of Disaster Medicine. Kori has also presented research at the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine Western Regional Research Forum and at the EUropean Association of Palliative Care (Budabest, Hungary). Kori is also a three-time contributor to The Legible Script: A Medical Literary Journal.
