Kelly Williamson is a member of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the Pharmacology Honor Society. She completed a Summer Research Internship at the Institute of Research and Education at Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she created databases for clinical trials. Kelly has participated in two research projects that evaluated applications of electrocardiography in the emergency department, each resulting in publication. She is the first author on an article in The American Journal of Emergency Medicine, “Electrocardiographic Application of Lead aVR”. Kelly has volunteered as a student in The Healer’s Art, the Medical Reserve Corps, and the Duke University Summer Alumni Medical Mentorship and Health Careers Internship Programs. She has trained in an intensive medical Spanish program in Costa Rica, where she also worked in a local health clinic. Kelly enjoys running and has completed two sprint triathlons and three Virginia Beach Rock and Roll Half-Marathons.
