Department of Emergency Medicine Visitor Policy

If you would like to take a tour of the clinical area, please click on the policy below. In addition to the institutional polices of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the department must adhere to Joint Commission and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations for visitors who are present in a clinical area.

The visitor policy below will assist you in understanding what type of visitor you will be categorized as, and any necessary paperwork and documentation you will need to bring at the time of your scheduled visit. A separate link provides you with the visitor policy confidentiality agreement if that is needed for your particular visit. Accompanying contact information for the staff member who will handle your visit is also included.
