Committee on Admissions

The Committee on Admissions consists of full time faculty members and M3 or M4 medical students. Members of the committee are selected by the Executive Associate Dean. The committee is currently chaired by Dr. Warren Wallace. Student members have voting rights and responsibilities equal to those of faculty members.  Students serve a one-year term. Members should be prepared to  commit 8–10 hours a week to committee responsibilities, from August to February.

In addition to serving on this committee, students may become involved in the medical school admissions process by serving in one of the following capacities:

  • prospective student interviewer on the Interview Committee (M4 students only)
  • tour guide and/or overnight host for interviewees and other visiting pre-med students (M1 and M2 students only)
  • serving on the Office of Admissions Special Projects Steering Committee, charged with planning Second Look Weekend and conducting the Student Telethon for accepted students (M1 through M4 students).
