Community Health Clinic opportunities

As Feinberg students, you have the opportunity to participate in Community Health clinic opportunities through student organized groups and/or formal departmental affiliations.

New Life Volunteering Society (NLVS) free health clinic is now accepting applications for new and returning medical student volunteers for our Saturday clinics.  Founded in 2003, NLVS was created by and continues to be run by Chicagoland medical students.  Clinics are open every Saturday from 10am-2pm serves the uninsured of the near north side of chicago. Students work on teams of 2-3, practicing their history & physical skills and presenting patients to attending physicians. Working with students from other schools, you can not only  improve your own clinical skills but also learn from your peers throughout the city. Furthermore, the physicians of NLVS create a comfortable yet rich learning environment. The clinic is located at 2645 W. Peterson Ave. Chicago, IL 60659.  M1-M4's are all welcome. You Choose the Committment:  once a semester OR once a month. Also, remember that M1s can volunteer too and we will do a introduction the first time you volunteer so do not worry!

An application can be obtained from Andrew Loehrer aloehre@lumc.edu  or Colleen Correll colleencorrell@gmail.com.
