Welcome to the Department of Urology

The Department of Urology at Northwestern University is dedicated to the advancement of our students, continued interest in the career and personal development of our alumni, and the well-being of our patients. We aim to educate the complete urologist, and pride ourselves on the resources and innovative programs utilized to develop the future urologic physician, both technically and as a valuable resource. Supervised clinical experience in adult and pediatric urology combined with laboratory research offers students, residents, and fellows a broad base for their professional interests. With outstanding, nationally recognized research programs, the tools for developing diverse and extensive urologic skills are immediately available to our trainees.

In patient care, the Department of Urology prides itself on its service to patients, vowing to provide the best possible care to both them and their families. Our attending physicians come from the greatest stock of training institutions, offering experience ranging from 10-40 years. Fostering positive and lasting physician/patient relationships is encouraged in our department. Often the catalysts for our advances in the urologic field, the department appreciates the array of contributions made by former or current patients, bolstering our ability to provide the utmost in urologic services.
