Kent T. Perry, Jr., MD 

Associate Professor

Dr. Perry completed his residency at Northwestern University where he was active in research and received many awards, including the Outstanding Teaching Resident Award.  Following his residency, Dr. Perry moved to University of California, Los Angeles, where he was a Fellow in Laparoscopic Surgery and Endourology as well as Clinical Instructor of Urology, and continued active research in several laparoscopic and robotic surgery techniques.

Dr. Perry is Co-Director of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Program and is a nationally recognized expert in minimally invasive approaches to kidney cancers and other malignancies.  He has focused on treating renal and prostate tumors via robotic, laparoscopic and percutaneous approaches in order to reduce bleeding, complications, post-operative pain and recovery time.

In addition, Dr. Perry is a member of the American Urologic Association (AUA North Central Section), the Chicago Urologic Association, the American College of Surgeons and the American Board of Urology.  He is an active reviewer of several prestigious Urologic publications, including the Journal of Urology and the Journal of Endourology.
