
AimThe Immunobiology Center supports a diverse range of immunology-related activities on campus that are aimed at promoting immunological training and awareness. A major goal of these activities is to bring together laboratories from different departments and enrich the immunology research at Northwestern.
ProgramsThe IBC supports the weekly "Inflammation Research in Progress" meeting. Graduate Students can participate in the Cellular Immunology Graduate Students meeting. Post-doctoral fellows can participate in the Postdoctoral Immunology Meeting. The IBC community can participate in the weekly IBC journal club. Center members serve as instructors in a variety of medical and Graduate School courses in immunology.
The IBC provides financial and faculty support to the Autumn Immunology Conference held annually in Chicago.

SupportStephen D. Miller is the principal investigator of the National Institutes of Health grant Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis Training Program (1T32 Al-07476), which has been funded by NIAID since September 1, 2001. The grant supports four predoctoral (PhD and MD/PhD) and two postdoctoral (PhD, MD, and MD/PhD) fellows per year for five years.
