Biography
Dr. Mary Martini is currently the Director of the Melanoma and Pigmented Lesions Clinic and an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She also serves as the Director of the Patch Test Clinic. Dr. Martini completed a master’s degree in developmental biology from Case Western Reserve University and received her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University. After her medical internship at Northwestern University, she completed her dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh. She subsequently joined the faculty of the Department of Dermatology of the University of Pittsburgh as Director of the Photobiology Unit and the Director of Contact and Occupational Dermatology. Dr. Martini joined the faculty at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2002. She directs the multi-disciplinary Pigmented Lesions/ Melanoma clinic as well as the contact and occupational dermatology clinic at Northwestern. Her research is focused on new imaging techniques that provide a noninvasive method of detection of dysplastic nevi and melanomas.
She currently serves on the Melanoma Panel of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and the SCOG Melanoma Prevention Working Group.
