Joaquin Brieva, M.D.
Head, In-patient Dermatology
Assistant Professor of Dermatology
                                                                        

Biography

Dr. Joaquin Brieva is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. He serves as the Head of the Section of In-Patient Dermatology and is Director of the Dermatology Clerkship for medical students. He received his medical degree from the University of the North, Colombia. He completed his residencies in Dermatology at both the National University of Columbia and the University of Illinois. He is also trained in Internal Medicine (University of Illinois at Chicago). Dr. Brieva’s areas of expertise are systemic diseases with dermatologic manifestations and psychodermatology.

Research Interests

Dr. Brieva's research interests include general dermatology, complex dermatological cases, and cutaneous infectious disorders.
