Welcome to our website at the Feinberg School of Medicine. We are entering an era of boundless possibilities for American medicine and Feinberg is poised for even greater academic accomplishment. There are many exciting opportunities to advance our reputation by building on strong foundations in biomedical research, education, and clinical care. The quality of our health care delivery is among the highest in the country, and today our honor roll hospitals and clinical practices are a destination for the critically ill and those who will benefit from the latest innovations in medical science.
How can we further serve and advance our commitment to community benefit? To address this question we are rapidly evolving towards new alignment with our health care partners in forming a national brand called Northwestern Medicine®. Working in collaboration with Northwestern Memorial HealthCare and the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, Northwestern Medicine is an idea whose time has come. Its growing functionality will provide strategic planning and resources to execute on common goals that raise our national identity as a leader in medicine.
Eminent medical schools also have other desirable traits, particularly the pursuit of academic excellence and intellectual diversity in an environment where scientists, clinicians, and translational faculty come together for interdisciplinary accomplishment around bright students, trainees, and dedicated staff. Feinberg enjoys the company of superb students and trainees working through an ever-evolving curriculum of new knowledge. Our mission going forward, quite simply, is to improve the health of people and I invite you to join us in this important work.
