  IVIS Spectrum Bioluminescence System

This instrument is generously provided by the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. It allows users to perform bioluminescence and fluorescence in vivo imaging in small animals.

The instrument is housed in the pathogen-free barrier in the Lurie Vivarium, room B307. Only users with IACUC-approved animal protocol will have access to the system and training.

Users are encouraged to consult the following documents to design their experiment and to help prepare their animal protocol amendment.

Complete Imaging Procedure (From Caliper Sciences)

Anesthesia Procedure (From Caliper Sciences)

Template for Northwestern IACUC animal protocol amendment (by Cell Imaging Facility, edited by NU CCM)

(Please note: This template provides only suggested verbiage. The actual amendment is dependent on your actual experimental design. Please work with CCM to obtain final approval of your animal protocol)
