Read more here: http://www.nof.org/grants/index.htm The Gideon & Sevgi Rodan IBMS Fellowship is given annually to support the salary of a deserving young investigator in the bone field. Support will be $40,000 for one year, not renewable, payable to the successful applicant's institution. The research in bone biology or diseases of the bone may be: basic, translational, clinical, or outcomes-based. The fellowship must be held in an academic institution--for example, a medical school, hospital, or research institute; Both Applicant and the Head of the recipient laboratory must be members of IBMS; Applicant must be a Fellow within three years of completing either a doctoral degree (M.D., Ph.D., D.D.S.) or must have carried out equivalent research in basic or clinical bone biology for up to six years since their first degree (M.B.B.S, B.D.Sc, B. Vet Sc etc); A high standard of research achievement for this career stage, with publications and presentations.The 2006 Fellowship will be presented at the 28th Annual Meeting of the ASBMR in historic Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, September, 2006.
