1) American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) diplomate seeking to fulfill their simulation requirement for Part IV of Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®)
2) Practicing anesthesiologist seeking simulation-based experience in critical events

The Northwestern Center for Clinical Simulation is operated by the Department of Anesthesiology and is part of a university-wide simulation collaboration. It provides education on multiple levels ranging from assistance with scenario design and technical support up to and including comprehensive curriculum design and course delivery. Its audience includes practicing anesthesiologists, residents from multiple specialties, CRNAs and students, medical students, hospital nursing staff, and visitors from the community. The Center is equipped with state of the art high fidelity full body patient simulators, audiovisual equipment for debriefing purposes, and staff to provide realistic simulated clinical events. Validated visitor parking is available.
The Northwestern Center for Clinical Simulation is an endorsed center of the American Society of Anesthesiologists' (ASA) Committee on Simulation Education. We provide experiential, high-fidelity simulation education for ABA Diplomates seeking to fulfill the Practice Performance Assessment and Improvement (PPAI) requirement for MOCA®. Attending this simulation course completes one requirement of the ABA's Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program (MOCA®). Please consult the ABA website for a list of all MOCA® requirements.
