As many of you may know, Dr. Marty Lipsky, chair of family medicine, has accepted a position as dean at the University of Illinois College of Medicine effective June 1, 2004. I am grateful to Dr. Mitchell King for agreeing to serve as acting chair while a search for a new chair is underway.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Marty for the outstanding service he provided to Northwestern during his time here. Please join me in offering best wishes to him in his new position.
