We are pleased to announce that the Division of Emergency Medicine will become the Department of Emergency Medicine effective July 1, 2004.
Dr. Adams was recruited from Harvard and under his leadership the faculty and resources in the emergency department have significantly increased leading to more timely and efficient patient care, increased research and teaching, and improved patient satisfaction.
After four years of outstanding performance as Chief of the Division, Dr. Jim Adams will now serve as Chair of the new Department of Emergency Medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine and Chief of the Emergency Medicine Service at NMH.
