Over 300 Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine medical students gathered on Friday, September 11, to participate in the annual Medical Student Society Olympics. Olympic games included rock-paper-scissors, tug-of-war, balloon toss, beanbag toss, and others. Ricketts Society students were victorious, and received a trophy presented by medical school alumnus James P. Kelly, ’73 MD, MBA, FACS, president designate of the Medical Alumni Association.
"I looked on the event as a great team-building exercise. The only component that was missing was the presence of an alumni group or class to join in this year's Olympics," said Dr. Kelly. "Many students expressed their sincere thanks to the medical alumni for being one of the major sponsors!" Students enjoyed a reception hosted by the Medical Alumni Association.
