Net ID Assignments

Net ID and Setting Up Your Northwestern Email Address

Your Net ID is your electronic identity at Northwestern. The most common format of a NetID is a combination of three letters (often related to your name) and three numbers.

Accepted students receive a Net ID assignment via email with instructions for NU Validate and setting up a Northwestern email account. Once this email account is set-up, you will have confirmed access to Caesar, your FSM email account and your Financial Aid packet and/or award.
