Research

Poster Day

Research opportunities are available to students not enrolled in a joint degree program. The summer before the start of the M2 school year students can participate in the Medical Student Summer Research Program (MSSRP). Students who successfully complete the MSSRP can then apply to the Research Thesis Program.

All students are encouraged, but not required, to engage in research while at Feinberg. Insight gained through the approach to research and its techniques prepares physicians to continue their education independently after leaving medical school and residency. Also, students who conduct research are better able to determine whether it should be a component of their future medical careers.

Information on research and funding opportunities is maintained by the Augusta Webster, MD, Office of Medical Education. This office is committed to providing assistance to Feinberg students in their pursuit of and engagement in research experiences.
