Visiting Students

ATTENTION APPLICIANTS:

We are currently reviewing applications for the 11-12 academic year only. Application dates beginning after June 15, 2012 are part of the 2012-13 academic year.  The 12-13 materials will be available in early March 2012.

DO NOT USE 2011-12 documents to apply for the 2012-13 academic year as the course catalog, application forms and calendar change every year.

You may submit your 12-13 application after all materials are posted online, (but no earlier than 6 months prior to your earliest requested rotation) however it will not be processed until after the Northwestern students have finalized their schedules which typically occurs sometime in May.

 Please review the following important information! 

  • Applications are sent to departments for review in the order they were received and complete.

  • Credit Card is the only accepted method of payment.  Checks, money orders and bank drafts cannot be accepted.

  • Please do not call the Visiting Student Office to check on the status of your application. Do not contact departments, coordinators or faculty regarding your application. You may contact our office at visitingstudents@northwestern.edu no earlier than 30 days after you have received the email notification that your application has begun review by the department(s) to inquire as to the status.

  • All applicants are strongly encouraged to review the FAQ regarding application processing and Visiting Student Program policies.  Most of your questions will be answered here.
