Introduction to Clinical Clerkships (ICC) Course Description

The purpose of the course is to facilitate the transition of medical students from years one and two to the clinical years. The goal is to provide basic skills and information to allow students to readily participate in patient care. Topics that are included in ICC generally are applicable across clerkship lines. While students have received instruction in some of these topics during their M1 and M2 years, the focus in ICC is on how to apply principles that they have already learned to clinical situations. The course ends with the White Coat Ceremony.
