Student Commuter Parking

To qualify for the student commuter parking permit, students must live outside the boundaries established by the Chicago Parking Office. Designated streets identified as the boundaries for the Chicago Campus are; north of North Avenue, west of Halsted Street, and south of Congress Parkway. Living right on any of these streets does not establish eligibility. Local addresses are secured from your official university records, it is the students responsibility to make sure their CAESAR address is current and correct.

Students with temporary or permanent medical or other extenuating circumstances may request a waiver of the residence location provision by describing that situation in the "Extenuating Circumstances" text area below. The Medical Student Parking Committee will render a decision on this appeal.

Applicants will be notified by e-mail of tentative approval or rejection, along with what next to do to obtain the permit from the Parking Office. The Chicago Campus Parking Office is located on the 1st floor in Abbott Hall. All parking financial obligations will be handled here. Please be prepared to provide automobile make and model, proof of driver's license and insurance. You will receive your parking sticker and parking garage location from the parking office. **Summer 2 and Summer 3 options are only available to incoming M1 students. You must be able to pay cash or check for these two options.

Other Parking Options
Students who live on campus (within the boarders described above) may apply for the evening and weekend parking. Evening/weekend parking is available on a quarterly basis for Feinberg medical students regardless of location of residence. The vehicle must be removed from campus parking between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Arrangements for evening/weekend parking are made at the Chicago Parking Office (University Services) in Abbott Hall.
