The Big Sibs Program matches incoming M1 students with M2 students to help you get better acquainted with life as a medical student at Feinberg. Throughout medical school, a Big Sib may serve as a mentor, friend, someone to eat lunch or study with, and hopefully someone to show you the ropes for your first year of medical school. In addition, your Big Sib will be a member of our Feinberg Society. Each year during Orientation Week, a night is set aside for Big Sibs Dinner, giving the M2 students the opportunity to host an M1 student for dinner. This is a great oppportunity for M1 students to ask questions, make new friends and maybe even start a friendship that will last a lifetime. In addition, Big Sibs participate in the Founders' Day ceremony by assisting M1 students with their white coats. In order for the Orientation Week Committee to match you with a big sib, please complete the Big/Little Sibs Online Survey. Keep an eye on your e-mail because later in August you should recieve further information regarding your Big Sib and an e-mail from them as well. |
