Description:  The William E. Dochterman Medical Student Scholarship Fund was originally made possible through surplue funds from services donated by local physicians participating in the Sabin Oral Polio Vaccine Clinics sponsored by the Sacramento Valley Medical Society in 1963. The late Mr. Dochterman, the Society's Executive Director for 27 years, urged the Society to invest the vaccine proceeds in a bond dedicated to helping area residents finance their medical education.

Eligibility: Graduate of El Doradom Sacramento or Yolo County, California high school. Currently enrolled in medical school
